What is the Startup Societies Summit?
The Startup Societies Summit is a trade show for “startup societies” or small experimental governments such as smart cities, special economic zones, eco-villages, micro states, intentional communities, and even “seasteading”.
The conference will take place at City College San Francisco on August 11th-12th, 2017. The Foundation has already held conferences in New York City, New Hampshire, Palo Alto, and Greece. This conference will be the biggest trade show of its kind.
Tech Against Terrorism is a global campaign designed to help fight terrorist exploitation of technology. Together with leading tech companies, their focus is on building practical tools to help startups develop responses to the exploitation of their services, whilst reinforcing the importance of human rights and protecting fundamental freedoms.

Fund and Fuel Your Dreams is a 3-day event that offers hands-on, expert training on how to raise money. They promise that you will leave with a step-by-step plan and resources to take the plan forward. At the event there will be opportunities for support from experts on messaging, financials, and more. Tencent WeStart Entrepreneurship Competition is a global entrepreneurship competition powered by Tencent, and Tencent WeStart is an entrepreneurial community and international platform. The Tencent WeStart Entrepreneurship Competition in Boston will focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Tencent WeStart will host the event, supported by BRC’s future lab (AIRx Labs) and MIT CHIEF. The 10 teams will be selected under the guidance of world-class instructors in the AI industry, VCs and Tencent executives.
