Andy is actively involved in the evaluation of businesses seeking seed/early stage financing. He enjoys working with promising entrepreneurs to help them develop investor-oriented pitch decks and presentations.
Bipul Sinha
Bipul Sinha is a Principal at Lightspeed and focuses primarily on Internet and software sectors, with a particular interest in advertising technology, social media, digital media and software infrastructure. He has over fourteen years of operations and technology investment experience.
Previously, Bipul worked at Blumberg Capital where he led investments in digital media, Internet and datacenter software infrastructure sectors. His selected investments include DoubleVerify, Nutanix, ZipZapPlay, Mertado, Hootsuite and CarWoo. Prior to venture capital, Bipul was with Banc of America Technology Investment Banking Group where he worked on M&A and equity financing transactions.
Larry Marcus
Larry’s focus is consumer services and digital media.
Larry has been a Director at Pandora since early 2004 when Walden lead the “rebirth round” to focus the company on launching a consumer-facing service.
Gautam Gupta
Gautam Gupta is a VC at General Catalyst Partners. Gautam focuses on investments in new and existing technology businesses.
His areas of special interest include financial services, enterprise IT, consumer services, and new media. Gautam is also actively involved with GoodData.
Dave Samuel

Josh Felser
I worked in old media at News Corp for 4 years, new media as co-founder and president of Spinner – the first multi-channel Internet radio service and co-founder and CEO of Grouper/Crackle – one of the first Internet video networks. Both companies were acquired in under 3 years and sold for $320mm (AOL) and $65mm (Sony Pictures) respectively.
My partner from Spinner and Grouper, Dave Samuel, and I recently started an early stage VC called Freestyle Capital to fill the void between retreating angels and VCs moving to later stage investments.
Jon Soberg
Jon Soberg has over 17 years of experience as an executive, entrepreneur, financial analyst and consultant. He has held senior management positions in both startups and large corporations, including Ditech and Adforce, which had a highly successful IPO. He is also actively involved with Wharton, where he is part-time faculty in the Marketing Dept for the Global Consulting Practicum.
A CFA Charterholder, Jon earned a B.S. in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern, and an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management and Marketing from the Wharton School, where he is a Palmer Scholar.
Kent Goldman
Kent Goldman is a Principal at First Round Capital. Most recently, he was a member of the Corporate Development team at Yahoo, where he focused on M&A to support the company’s user-facing properties. In 2007, he led the company’s $350M acquisition of Zimbra. Earlier, Kent led business strategy efforts for Yahoo’s Front Page, Communications and Community products which included Yahoo.com, My Yahoo and Yahoo Mail.
Before joining Yahoo in 2004, Kent was an institutional investor focusing on early-stage consumer technology. Among the firm’s investments with which he worked most closely was Oddpost, one of the first web-based services to demonstrate the functionality of a desktop application. In 2004, Yahoo acquired the company. Oddpost’s technology now serves as the basis for the Yahoo Mail interface.
John Frankel
John Frankel founded ff Venture Capital as an early stage venture fund because he saw a market that was not being served well by established venture funds.
There is a VC funding gap, that not only starves early stage companies of capital, but also of advice and expertise, impacting companies ability to grow and attract talent. John Frankel has been an early-stage venture investor for over ten years, with a broad portfolio of investments. He has worked closely with entrepreneurs in a variety of fields and has experience advising start-ups.
Ron Shah
Ron Shah joined Stripes Group in 2007 and is focused on growth stage investments in the internet, software and consumer markets. He is currently a Board Observer at MyWebGrocer.
Prior to joining Stripes Group, Ron co-founded Endgame Capital, LLC, which focused on land investment and development in South Carolina. While there, he worked on developing and marketing a planned 60-unit town home / condominium project.
