Alan Toman is an innovative executive with over a decade of experience building Internet, mobile and interactive entertainment companies.

Currently Managing Director for Direct Access, he provides strategic marketing and business development services to drive traffic and expand market share for clients including LinkMe Mobile, Clear Channel Malls, Coty Cosmetics, Barnes & Noble and Buy.com, integrating traditional and new media marketing channels.

Preceding this he was Co-Founder of Innovative Digital Technology, an investment company formed to identify, acquire and commercialize promising mobile & digital technology opportunities including Evryx Technologies, a mobile visual search company with patented image recognition technology.

Alan also co-founded and was President of Travertine Entertainment, an interactive [SMS-TV] television production company which launched the first national TV network with 24-hour, real-time interactive programming via premium text messaging and which was considered for a 2005 interactive television Emmy by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

As Chief Marketing Officer for Quios, he led marketing efforts to build a global mobile social network of 6 million unique monthly users with members in 110 countries on 400+ carrier networks that averaged 30 million+ messages per month, published an industry-first mobile ad awareness study. He also invented and patented a real-time, peer-to-peer mobile information network, enabling members to become published reporters and attract their own subscriber base.

Prior to that he served as Vice President, Marketing for PRIO, launching one of the first “clicks-to-bricks” Internet shopping and promotions companies, improving technology availability for 4 million merchants and 30 million consumers for American Express. Additional clients included OfficeMax, eflowers.com, BellSouth, TicketMaster and CitySearch. The company was acquired by InfoSpace for $260 million.

Earlier, as Vice President, Direct Marketing for The Phelps Group he built the new digital & direct marketing division that became one of the top 25 marketing communications companies in the US.  Alan received a BA from Ithaca College, and lives in Hollywood with his wife, actor Suzanne Ford.
