Mr. Levin is a seasoned dealmaker located in New York City. He was a co-founder and managing partner at investment group, New Bridge Partners, LLC and its affiliated companies and has enjoyed over 35 years in the investment banking and financial services business.
At New Bridge, Mr. Levin worked to originate and structure transactions for the company in a wide variety of sectors including renewable energy, consumer/retail, healthcare and manufacturing among others. An experienced leader with broad strategic vision, business development and investment experience in the U.S. and South Africa among other markets, he was responsible for guiding New Bridge’s strategic direction and positioning it for future growth.
Driving new transactions for the company, he used the development of strategic partnerships with other financial institutions to establish footholds in developing economies throughout Africa and parts of Europe such as Greece and Romania, giving New Bridge a local presence in these countries. Mr. Levin also co-managed the company’s equity research arm providing emerging markets insight to hedge funds in both Europe and the U.S.
Prior to New Bridge, he was a co-founder and partner at Nova Capital Partners, LLC where he oversaw business and strategic development for the company and was responsible for opening new emerging markets including South Africa, Ghana and Kenya among others. He additionally managed the structuring of many of the company’s larger transactions with third party co-investment partners leveraging the company’s relationships with other equity investors.
Prior to Nova Capital, Mr. Levin served as a Principal at American Capital Strategies (ACS), a $50 billion dollar publicly traded leveraged buyout fund. At ACS, he was charged with overseeing new investments into enterprise level technology companies across the U.S. He was also responsible for investments in other sectors such as logistics, distribution, and transportation.
He was also a contributing op-ed columnist at CNBC Africa and has written for the Dallas Morning News and Business Day Live among others, writing on a wide variety of issues from business in the emerging markets to U.S. politics.
